Abstract
Stability of elite is measured by level of the quality of its consistency. All elites try to posit their authority via strengthening of the ruling system, which controls sources and information. Any violation of the norms of this system creates “splits” (“failures”) in its whole area beyond the control zones. The given singularity can be considered a manifestation of frontier, as the situation can be described by means of this category. For the elite groups the frontier is always a stressful situation able to cardinally change their very essence. The reaserach of elites within the zone of stressful anomalies is one of perspective subjects of modern elitological studies. It is various frontier situations that allow elites to survive and reveal their vital forces or be lost under the weight of disadvantages and problems.
